此次展览艺术家刘昊天为我们展现了《假面》《秘境》和《暗香》三个系列的作品，作为他近几年的梳理和总结，反映了他对待艺术本体的态度和对待艺术创作所具备的能力。 

    

艺术功能有两个属性，一是艺术要关心社会问题，关心社会问题的解决。信息时代随着科学技术迅猛发展以及文明的推进给人类带来的影响绝不仅仅是正面的，其所带来一系列问题，还有很多负面影响:比如贫富差距的加剧、资源不对称的加剧等。刘昊天的《假面》、《秘境》系列，表达正是由一系列社会问题所引发的人性危机，人类在精神层面的极度空虚下，表现出一种表面性的物质和谐，在貌似合理的行为模式中隐藏着巨大的道德塌陷，犹如戴着假面苟活于世。刘昊天以他的直观感受和经历，提出问题并试图解决，给观者以反思。

艺术功能的另一个属性是艺术应该给人带来美的享受，一种能够让人感觉愉悦的心灵体验。这给画家带来了新的思考:作为一种大众艺术，不能仅仅孤芳自赏。刘昊天的《暗香》系列是对日常事物的纯美表达，老物件、水果这些每日补给我们身体能量食物和盛载他们的食器，除了被人类消耗，在你注视它们的时候，还有一种审美的体验，这种体验被画家转译成绘画语言，在看昊天的《暗香》系列作品时，颇有一种“致虚极，守静笃。万物并作，吾以观复”的绝妙境地。
